唯以心相交，方能成其久远
中国人讲，“唯以心相交，方能成其久远”。建交41年来，中国始终视孟加拉国为真挚的朋友、发展的伙伴，高度重视中孟关系发展，同孟方在涉及彼此核心利益的问题上相互坚定支持。
As a Chinese proverb goes, “Only friendship built on sincerity can endure.” Since the establishment of diplomatic ties 41 years ago, China has always regarded Bangladesh as its true friend and partner for development. China values its relations with Bangladesh. We firmly support each other on issues concerning our respective core interests.
明镜所以照形，古事所以知今
“明镜所以照形，古事所以知今。”我们回顾过去，是为了继往开来，再铸辉煌。
As an old Chinese saying goes, “From the mirror we learn about ourselves; from the past we learn about the future.” Proper stock-taking of the past will lead us toward a brighter future.
志合者，不以山海为远。
“志合者，不以山海为远。”中国和厄瓜多尔虽然远隔重洋，但友谊的纽带将我们紧紧相连。
As a Chinese saying goes, “Even mountains and seas cannot distance people with shared aspirations.” China and Ecuador share a close bond of friendship despite the long distance between us.
兄弟同心，其利断金。
“兄弟同心，其利断金。”新形势下，中方愿同厄方携手努力，搭建起便于双方人民扩大友好交往的坚实桥梁，推动中厄关系向更高水平迈进。
Another Chinese saying reads, “When brothers share the same conviction, they can easily break a strong piece of metal.” In the new era, China will work with Ecuador to build a strong bridge for our two peoples to scale up friendly exchange and take our relations to a new height.
